Horsemanship, one rider at a time.
A private lesson is an hour of undivided attention. Depending on where you are, that might be position and feel, softness, body control, getting a horse to guide honestly, or working through a specific problem you have been stuck on.
Youth and adults are both welcome. So is a rider who has been at it for thirty years and wants a second set of eyes.
Who lessons are for
- Youth riders
- Adults
- Beginners
- Intermediate riders
- Experienced riders working on horsemanship
- Riders who want to communicate better with their horse
- Riders who want exposure to cattle
- Riders learning cutting and cow horse fundamentals

Not every lesson format suits every rider. When you send a request, tell us the rider’s age and experience, what horse you would be on and what you want out of it. We will tell you honestly what makes sense — including if the answer is a private lesson before a cattle lesson.
Cattle lessons
Instruction on cattle, not arena time with cows.
A cattle lesson is a teaching session. Cattle are a tool for showing a rider what position, timing and speed actually feel like — the things that are almost impossible to learn in an empty arena.
What gets covered depends entirely on rider skill and horse readiness, and safety governs all of it. A rider new to cattle and a rider schooling for a show pen do not get the same hour.

- Tracking cattle
