Training, standard board, quality alfalfa, one standard scoop of Purina Strategy per the barn’s normal feeding program, routine daily care, access to the facility, cattle use as appropriate within the horse’s normal training program, and regular owner communication.
No. Farrier work is arranged as needed and billed separately to the owner.
No. Veterinary services, dental care, medications and emergency care are billed separately to the owner.
Horse-specific additions — extra feed beyond the standard barn ration, specialty feed, supplements or specific nutrition requirements — are billed separately.
Yes. Late starts are three-year-olds and up that never got started, or got started and turned out. We also take broke horses for tune-ups and finishing. Every horse is accepted by evaluation.
We build the foundation a cutting or cow horse prospect needs — body control, rating, position, stopping and progressive cattle work appropriate to the individual horse. Many horses go on to a specialist from here.
Yes. Private lessons are offered by appointment.
Private lessons are $125/hour. Private lessons with cattle are $200/hour.
Riders of a range of ages and experience levels may be considered. Lessons are tailored based on the rider, the horse, the goals and what is safe — so not every lesson format suits every rider. Tell us where you are in the lesson request and we will be straight with you about fit.
